The development and promotion of the #8KeyCompetences are recognised as central tasks in education, training, and lifelong learning. Since these competences are considered essential for everyone, they should be developed and strengthened throughout all stages of life.
In its 2018 Recommendation on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, the Council highlighted not only the importance of developing these competences, but also the need to develop effective approaches for their recognition and assessment.
In line with this, the SMARTY project is creating a digital tool to support the assessment of key competences of adult migrants, supporting their social and labour market integration.
