Supporting migrants in entering the labour market or enrolling in a second language course often requires analysing their current competence levels according to the job or course demands. The assessment process, however, sometimes lacks an effective, comprehensive, and user-friendly assessment tool, resulting in a decrease in adults’ motivation or professionals’ low performance.
With this in mind, the SMARTY team aims to design a mobile app 📱that should help professionals easily recognise migrants’ competence levels in four areas:
💬 communication
💡 logical thinking
💼 work
🤝 democratic cultures
For each competence area, the partners will create games and simulations 🎲 to assess migrants’ theoretical knowledge and performance. In total, the app will contain 96 interactive and engaging activities aimed at evaluating up to 12 different competencies.
